Oli Arshinov Biography

Unforgettable encounters between nostalgia and innovation.

Oli’s signature technique involves mounting hundreds of hand-painted cubes onto a brushed aluminium surface, creating pixelated compositions that shift and reassemble as the viewer moves. These sculptural works blur the line between painting and object, combining a range of media including wood, paints and modelling materials to bring colour, light, and form into constant kinetic play. Some cubes are painted in over 50 precise shades to achieve the perfect tonal balance, resulting in a dynamic visual experience that changes with every glance.

A trained classical pianist, Oli credits her early musical education with shaping her meticulous approach to rhythm, harmony and structure in art. Each piece begins with something instinctive or personal – a memory, an emotional trigger, a response to a favourite artwork - but behind the immediacy of her work lies an exacting process of planning, colour mixing and construction. The result is a playful yet highly sophisticated body of work that feels both nostalgic and completely new.

Oli has exhibited her work at major galleries and art fairs around the world, including in London, Miami, New York, Dubai, Tel Aviv, Shenzhen, and Detroit. Her unique visual language has attracted a growing international audience, and her bold, joyful art continues to challenge perception and win her collectors across the globe.
